This is my first foie escapade since the California ban got overturned. I was pretty excited. The thing set me back $5, and it was tiny, which was OK, since foie should really only be consumed in small quantities. The foie gras sandwich was in between 2 ginger cookies. I really could only taste the ginger cookies, no idea where they are from but I read that Humphry Slocombe's owner was opening a bake shop of some kind. No taste of foie so I was a bit sad. Guess I have to go for the real thing. It was not bad or anything, but when you expect to taste foie and don't, that's always a bummer!
On a side note, they had a white chocolate lavender and green tea matcha flavour which I really liked. Thank goodness for samples! I also tried the olive oil one, but for some reason all I could taste was lemon.
I think I still have $116 of my $150 kudos left for the shop. I will be back to have some different flavours, but I will not be a repeat foie customer!
